With the right marinade you will not be able to get ENOUGH. Tasty sweet veggies like Zuccini, Yellow squash, snowpeas, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, etc.. are great for this. MArinades with white wine and garlic are specially good. Im trying anew one today with mustard/garlic/basil/olive oil/brown sugar and lemon juice, ill see how it turns out! Really its all in the marinade. Vegetables Crepes are fantastic too, they are juicy and flavorful, you can stuff them with all kinds of vegetables, maarinate them, cook them til tender, and then stuff the crepe -or not- and top with some parmesan and bean sprouts. AMAZINGLY TASTY XD If you have acces to any Thai pr Brazilian, or Indian restaurants, try their vegetarian dishes. You will be amazed

If you don’t like vegetables try marinating them and then either broiling them or grilling them/roasting them Kabob style. I train outside, eat lean meats, and vegatables. I get 8-9 hours of sleep, and I also do parkour in nature. I'm going to start eating more fruits and nuts and see what else I can change inorder to get the most out of this lifestyle change.

After reading this article I realized that my eating habits almost matches the paleo diet. I have talked with others who test their sugars and it does the same thing. If you do eat oatmeal try to not go with the instant variety. I know someone who lost a ton of weight very rapidly by eating just plain uncooked oatmeal and he gained it all back once he started diversifying his diet, potentially as a side effect of what it did to his digestive system.

Oh, and one tip on oatmeal- I test my bloodsugars from time to time because of a tendency of hypoglycemia and oatmeal (despite many dieticians saying otherwise) actually RAISES your bloodsugars! isPermaLink="false">http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/?p=2494#comment-5418

I am actually a huge fan of the Gluten Free Vegan lifestyle when combined with the "periphery diet". So basically eating as much whole unprocessed, unchemicalized foods as possible while limiting your grain intake (the gluten free for those who aren't allergic or intolerant to gluten being a way to force oneself to diversify the grains that are in ones diet or completely minimizing them altogether). I specifically like this because of my own food allergies (dairy, kiwi, gluten, intollerant to sugar and caffeine) and because of how hard it is on our bodies to process meat (it takes an average of three days for a serving of meat to pass entirely through your system). I'm actually planning on posting about this on my own blog in the future. Of course one should diversify (using the spectrum for fruits and veggies is a helpful guide) and eat as unprocessed as possible no matter your own intollerances, allergies, and/or personal preferences.
I think that of all of the "fad" diets out there the underlying concept to be taken away should simply be to diversify, eat unprocessed, and eat more fruits and veggies than the average american diet.

I am actually a huge fan of the Gluten Free Vegan lifestyle when combined with the “periphery diet”.
